I am the queen of public restrooms. (That doesn’t sound like a good thing, does it?) Being afraid of someone (that I know) hearing me in the bathroom has led me down this path. I would rather use a dirty public restroom than one at my friends house if poo is involved. I don’t care if people that I don’t know can hear/smell everything. They are not important.

Here is what I don’t get. Why are people so nasty? Why can’t people clean up after themselves? Why should I have to do it? Or check every stall, analyze the cleanliness of them and then select the cleanest one?

I love when people layer 3 inches of tp all over the seat and then leave it there. In case the next person that comes along wants to use it I guess. Why not just flush it like a normal person?

Then there is the people that don’t flush at all when they’re done. Why? Are you really that lazy? Or do you just like to gross out the next person who will use the bathroom after you. Does thinking about the look of disgust that will be on their face make you proud?

And why is there pee on the toilet seat? I could understand if it were a unisex bathroom (boys are gross and pee on the seat because they’re too lazy to lift it) but this is a women’s bathroom. Are you ladies hoovering? If people like you didn’t hoover there wouldn’t be any pee on the seat to have to avoid with the hoover maneuver. Duh.

Maybe everyone else just listens to their grandmothers better than I did. I remember my grandmother standing outside of the stall telling me that the seat was dirty and not to sit on it. “Either put toilet paper down or just squat over the seat. Don’t sit. You’ll get sick from doing that.”

I would always tell her “okay” from my sitting position. Even as a child I thought it was silly to be afraid to sit.

What are people afraid of anyway? Of getting some sort of contagious butt disease? Skin + porcelain + more skin later = something so horrible no one has even figured out what it is yet? I’m almost 30 and I haven’t died or gotten any terrible diseases from toilet seats yet.

So I decided to make a little poll, see how people (probably all of two people) feel about potty’s. Do it! You know you want to.
