I never had to go to church as a child, it just wasn’t something that we did at my house. My family (grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins) is catholic, I am agnostic. I don’t believe in god or religion. I don’t not believe in them either, you know in case God does exist or something. I have commitment problems so I can’t go totally atheist. I have no idea what my parents or brothers believe. Probably nothing like me. It’s easier that way.
It seemed, growing up, that most of my friends went to church while I stayed home and watched tv or played video games. I was very lucky. They complained about having to get up and go to church and Sunday School afterwards. I never had to deal with it.
There have only been two times in my life that I have been pissed off about my lack of religious education. Both of them were funerals-my great-grandmother and my grandmother-and both took place in the same Catholic church.
